After taking a job as a teacher’s aid for the industrial arts classes at Indian Oaks Academy, Dan Clark spent every waking moment learning everything he could about woodworking. Dan began studying from books and videos, he struggled to learn the basics but, quickly challenged himself and now has the experience to encourage his students to try new things, challenge themselves and hopefully, become more dedicated and patient in the rest of their lives. With his craft, Dan’s interest is currently drawn towards lathe work and small projects focusing on stone inlay. Dan’s future plans are to eventually open his own mobile turning school. This school will be transported to local schools to teach wood working safety and allow the students to learn wood turning. With that goal in mind Dan plans to provide lessons that can be used by fellow educators through his web site.
